New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve is often celebrated at social gatherings, during which participants dance, eat, consume alcoholic beverages, and watch or light fireworks to mark the incoming year. Other individuals may observe the evening with a watchnight service. The observance of New Year's Eve generally extends through midnight of January 1 (New Year's Day). Also known as "Last Day of the Year", the Philippines is one of the few countries having New Year's Eve as a special non-working holiday. Filipinos usually celebrate New Year's Eve with the company of family and close friends. Traditionally, most households stage a dinner party named Media Noche in their homes. Typical dishes include pancit, hamon, lechon (roasted pig), which is usually considered as the centerpiece of the dinner table. Barbecued food is also an integral part of the menu.
Most Filipinos follow a set of traditions that are typically observed during New Year's Eve. Included among these traditions is the customary habit of wearing clothes with circular patterns like polka dots, this signifies the belief that circles attract money and fortune or other colorful clothing to show enthusiasm for the coming year. Throwing coins at the stroke of midnight is said to increase wealth that year. Traditions also include the serving of circularly shaped fruits, shaking of coins inside a metal casserole while walking around the house, and jumping up high which is believed to cause an increase in physical height. People also make loud noises by blowing on cardboard or plastic horns, called "torotot", banging on pots and pans or by igniting firecrackers and fireworks at the stroke of midnight, in the belief that it scares away malevolent spirits and forces. Urban areas are usually hosts to many New Year's Eve parties and countdown celebrations which are usually hosted by the private sector with the help of the local government. These parties usually display their own fireworks spectacles and are often very well attended. The main celebration is focused on Manila Bay at Roxas Boulevard in Manila.

What do people do?

Many people spend most of December 31 quietly. They may spend time outdoors, reading the reviews of the last year in newspapers or resting in preparation for the New Year's Eve parties that begin in the late afternoon or evening. People who host parties may spend a large part of the day preparing food and arranging drinks. In the evening, New Year's Eve parties usually go on for many hours, well beyond midnight. Some, particularly young people, may choose to spend the evening in pubs, clubs or discos. Although there are many who celebrate the event responsibly with moderate amounts of alcohol, some celebrate the event with large amounts of alcohol, which can lead to fights and other acts of foolishness in the early hours of the morning.
Just before midnight, people turn on a radio or television to see the countdown of the last few minutes of the old year and the display of fireworks just after midnight.

In English-speaking countries, a few popular songs are associated with New Year's Eve and it is common to hear them on the radio these countries on, or shortly before, December 31.

The lives of several couples and singles in New York intertwine over the course of New Year's Eve.

Santa Baby

Santa baby, where are my gifts?

Christmas it is!
The first harbingers of Christmas arrive in October when jarring sales and decorations follow fast on the heels of summer. But by December, Christmas's true heralds are out: twinkling lights lining streets, the smell of balsam and spice cookies wafting through the house and visits from friends and relatives. The season's spirit drives people to the mall, to the kitchen, to midnight mass and to festive gatherings.
But how did people celebrate Christmas before the advent of shopping malls and electric lights? What's the history behind the tradition? At its core, Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. The holiday's connection to Christ is obvious through its Old English root of "Cristes maesse" or Christ's Mass. For Christians, it is the time to renew one's faith, give generously and consider the past. (

Christmas is also a fascinating miscellany of traditions: one that combines pre-Christian pagan rituals with modern traditions. Every family that celebrates Christmas has its own customs--some surprisingly universal, others entirely unique--but all comfortably familiar in their seeming antiquity.
Amidst all the darkness we're in right now ( disasters, helplessness, tears, broken hearts, etc.), good vibes on a once a year special holiday can actually make you smile. Thank you everyone for the boundless friendships and love. Seasons Greetings! Have a blessed Christmas! =)

So here's Glee Cast's Version of Santa Baby. Enjoy!

Holiday in Handcuffs

Melissa Joan Hart (from Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Clarissa Explains it all) stars, Trudie Chandler, as a waitress whose family has higher aspirations for her, but her life is falling apart rapidly. Starting the day with a bad perm, I tell you.. it's a really bad one, yet one of the funniest scenes in the movie. Also with her family expecting to meet her fiance at their cabin for Christmas, where at the same time she got dumped. Well to replace the ideal son-in-law with even hunkier dream-prince, David Martin, she kidnaps him at gunpoint to attend the family holidays in a secluded luxurious log cabin. Enter Mario Lopez’s character, as David Martin, who is about to propose to his girlfriend at the diner where our heroine works. She pops him over the head and kidnaps him, telling her family that he likes to joke about being kidnapped. And they buy it.

Crazy lies prevent David from convincing the Chandler family he's not Nick and from escaping. After finally passing a rescue call to his spoiled fiancée, David decides to play the perfect catch to make her undoing worse. Before the police rescue him, he and the family realize they adore each other, the others all prove imperfect, and David and Trudy reassess their relationship after getting to know each other.

It’s a funny, sweet story of learning to love your family wherever they are. And that what you thought you wanted in love, might not be what you really need. Thumbs up to this! And I tell you guys, Mario Lopez looks so hot and cute in this movie! He is just so stunningly handsome.

One of the scenes of the movie.. This scene is before Trudie's family gathering on Christmas.
Awwe this scene is where they get to write their Christmas wish list were they also made reflections on themselves.

The look on their faces.. Trudie just wants to hang the Christmas Angel up on the tree, as part of their long time tradition, but then David is already part of the family so he gets to hang them up.

Behind the Secret

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2011

The reason behind the "i BADLY WANNA DIET".

Who doesn't want to be on the runway?

Victoria's Secret is the largest segment of publicly-traded Limited Brands with sales of over US$5 billion and an operating income of $1 billion in 2006. Wow we're talking billions here baby! Victoria's Secret is known for its annual fashion show, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and for its catalogs, both of which feature top fashion models. Really high fashion models! I mean look at those curves and legs.. and the way they own the runway! Uhh-mazing.
I think I just need to start living my life the way I wanna be. But.. I wanna have those! You know what I mean. Their body is just too perfect! Forever a fan of Adriana Lima, Erin Heatherton, Behati Prinsloo, Miranda Kerr, and Alessandra Ambrosio. Or should I say, all of them!

19 yrs old Karlie Kloss owning the runway.

The Energetic Doer

Energetic Doers like you are cheerful and spontaneous persons. You are charming and full of energy and a real person of action. You keep a clear head and the overview even in difficult situations. This makes you a popular problem solver. Your ability of being able to absorb and process information is phenomenal. Energetic Doers also have strong powers of observation and a keen sense when dealing with other people. You are very perceptive, witty and clever. You have a natural ability of convincing others of your point of view. You live completely in the here and now and make spontaneous decisions from one moment to the next. You love being together with other people and are a sensuous, lively and amusing conversationalist. It is no problem for you to be the effervescent centre of attention at a party and you are generous, skilful and a good host. You do not brood over consequences for long; you quickly grasp all the relevant facts, make a pragmatic decision and enforce that decision vigorously. Should a decision later turn out to have been wrong, one can always make new plans.

Energetic Doers magically attract fun and action. You need the kick - as far as possible with other people. Many representatives of your type have dangerous hobbies or go in for extreme sports. You quite consciously put yourself in dangerous situations again and again. At work too, you seek fun and variety above all. You are bored to death by routine, safety and calculability. Crises are your elixir of life and really bring your strong points to light. You react to new challenges flexibly and effectively. You gain your confidence from your imperturbable self-assuredness that you will be able to cope with them. Energetic Doers prefer practical activities which lead to visible results rather than theoretical fields of work. Endless discussions with colleagues quickly get on your nerves and you do not have the patience for interpersonal niceties. You say how something has to be done and that’s that!

The Energetic Doer is an extroverted Doer. You have fantastic powers of observation, which permit you to sense people’s motivations long before others do. That is the basis of your ability to gage your counterparts quickly and correctly, and adroitly respond to everybody. You also enjoy being with others, you would not be happy working in solitude. You are most effective as a team member. Your life’s elixir is dealing with other people, communication, discussions and as much action as you can get.

Here is one of your most important abilities: You are an excellent diplomat and negotiator, and especially when you need to convince others of an idea and - literally or figuratively - sell something on somebody. With your charisma, eloquence, charm and persuasiveness, you could be one of those personality types who would be able to manipulate others for your own purposes. And yet by nature, you are much too open and direct to negatively outfox someone. Any intrigue is foreign and unappealing to you.

You also astutely observe your environment, and immediately register even the smallest changes. You rarely miss anything important, because you approach everything with curiosity and interest. Your memory for details and facts is legendary. You absorb everything of interest to you like a sponge, and then store it for possible later use. Occasionally, you may not take the time to sufficiently search your memory prior to making a decision or starting a project. However, the reason for that is not that you are overlooking something, it is just that you are sometimes in too much a hurry to get going and lose your focus for the small print as a result.

It's All About St James

Who doesn't wanna party?

I just wanna stroll in Sant Antoni West, dive into the crystalline waters of Cala Bassa Beach, and get naked with Nathan Sykes in Ibiza!! <3
Ibiza baby!
It is an island in the Mediterranean Sea 79 km off the coast of the city of Valencia in Spain. It is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, an autonomous community of Spain.
Ibiza is considered a popular tourist destination, especially due to its legendary and at times riotous nightlife centred around two areas: Ibiza Town, the island's capital on the southern shore and Sant Antoni to the West. Well-known nightclubs are Privilege, Amnesia, Space, Pacha, Eden, Es Paradís, Underground, Gala Night and DC10. During the summer, the top producers and DJs in dance come to the island and play at the various clubs, in between touring to other international destinations. Some of the most famous DJs run their own weekly nights around the island. Many of these DJs use Ibiza as an outlet for presenting new songs within the house, trance and techno genres of electronic dance music.

Ibiza or "Eivissa" just reminds me how cute Nathan Sykes, from The Wanted, in their music video. Now who doesn't wanna party? Lez all release the animal in us and rock Ibiza baby! :))

Seeing these people suffer from a natural disaster is just so heartbreaking. It's suppose to be the Yuletide Season but one disaster just breaks it all. I send all my prayers to all the families affected by the tropical storm. Let us be one and help these victims! Today's the season of thanksgiving, after all.

Ended up taking pictures of ourselves at a friend's crib. Oh wait, we tried to do a live broadcast on ustream too! Viewers were.. don't wanna talk about it. Hahaha anyways I had fun today. Too much of a house hopper eh?

Under the Spotlight

How to start. Lol I know I'm just a newbie. Sucks to be me right now.
I usually blog my heart out on tumblr, but tumblr is different.. you know what I meant.
I did have a blogspot when I was still on my high school years. Ahh that was high school so I deleted it and made a new one. You know those things we post when we're still in our immature years of growing.. nevermind.
